Mike Lindfield
Mike hails originally from Sussex where he was a member of the Seaford Golf Club Junior and Senior Teams. He represented his county at amateur level on many occasions and before turning professional had achieved a handicap of plus 2. Mikes successes included winning the boys and colts Sussex championships along with a very prominent victory in the open amateur championships.
In 2006 after this successful amateur career Mike made the transition to becoming a playing professional and spent 18 months participating in various local and national professional events culminating in him winning the 2007 British Open regional qualifiers. This event included a very strong field made up of numerous tour professionals and top amateurs.
At the tender age of 23 Mike took the decision to learn the education to become a qualified member of the Professional Golfers Association and moved to Guernsey in 2008 to fulfil that ambition. Having spent the last year under the watchful eye of Matt, Mike is now developing his all round coaching and professional skills under the P.G.A. development programme and is a valuable part of the Guernsey Golf School team.
Mike has played a vital role in the development of the schools new junior coaching programme and his personal experiences as a Top Junior Amateur player have proved pivotal in laying down the correct criteria for specific parts of the programme. Mike is also an established golf club custom fit expert.
