Stephen O Rourke

PGA Golf Professional

Steve hails originally from Ireland where he played his amateur golf at Tramore Golf Club in the sunny south-east of the country. He represented his club at senior level and further went on to play golf at both provincial and national level. Having achieved a handicap of +1 he turned professional in the year of 2005.

Later that year he began working towards becoming a fully qualified PGA member and started his training in Waterford Golf Club where he helped run a successful pro shop business and created an extensive pupil base, some of whom went on to play golf at international level.

During this time Steve was narrowly pipped for the PGA Assistants Order of Merit in 2008 where he achieved his maiden victory as a professional and went on to qualify for the Irish Championship.

In 2010 Steve qualified as a PGA professional and has already gone on to better himself in the areas of golf psychology and custom fitting. He is a firm believer in continuously educating himself and his holistic approach to improving his players has achieved great success thus far.

Having been involved with junior coaching throughout his training, Steve is very keen to share his expertise with junior players and help implement coaching programmes run by the school. Steve is a Cleveland Golf Staff Player.
